This page is for those students who have been assigned judicial sanctions after meeting with the Judicial Affairs Office. Students are expected to complete all assigned sanctions in full and on time. Students who fail to do so may be further charged with violations of the Code of Conduct under section C.1.
Commonly Assigned Sanctions:
-AlcoholEDU Sanctions- An online program for first-time alcohol/drug policy violators. Students must complete the program and submit the certificate of completion to the Judicial Affairs Office.
-E-Chug- An online program for first-time alcohol policy violators. Students must complete the program and submit the certificate of completion to the Office of Judicial Affairs.
-E-Toke- An online program for first-time drug policy violators. Students must complete the program and submit the certificate of completion to the Office of Judicial Affairs.
-Research/Reflection Paper- This sanction is meant to inform the student as well as provide them the opportunity to reflect on their actions and choices, as well as help them understand future/alternative consequences. This sanction can range from five (5) to fifteen (15) pages where the student is expected to research a certain infraction/violation/behavior so the student can gain an insightful perspective on their actions. In addition to researching a behavior, students are expected to provide a meaningful detailed reflection about their personal incident. Students are expected to treat this as they would any other academic assignment. Papers must be submitted on time and include citations, and be double-spaced with 1” margins. -Residence Hall Informational Program- This sanction is meant to inform the student as well as provide them the opportunity to reflect on their actions and choices, as well as help them understand future/alternative consequences. It is also meant to provide an educational opportunity to peers within the student’s community. Programs are typically one (1) hour in length. For the full description please click on the link above.
