For the past 17 years, Buffalo State students, faculty, and staff have come together to celebrate the lives and memories of those lost during the past year. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service is a significant, longstanding tradition at Buffalo State that provides a forum for our community to remember, celebrate, and grieve for those who are no longer with us.
We believe that Buffalo State students, alumni, faculty, and emeriti remain part of our campus community—even when they’re no longer with us. This spiritual, nondenominational celebration honors their lives through music, poetry, readings, and the lighting of candles. The name of each deceased individual will be read aloud, followed by the ringing of a bell.
This event is sponsored by the Counseling Center. Please call Joan McCool, director, at ext. 4436 for more information or with questions.
A reception with light refreshments will follow.
