The It’s On Us Buffalo State campaign aims to empower all students, staff, and faculty to create a campus community where sexual violence will not occur.
What is It’s On Us?
It’s On Us is a nationally recognized campus sexual violence awareness campaign. Since its launch in 2014, It’s On Us tackles the issue of sexual violence by empowering college campuses to speak out, be active, and recognize that it is on all of us to prevent sexual violence on our campuses.
Why are we doing an It’s On Us Buffalo State campaign?
Sexual violence is a pervasive problem in colleges and universities across the United States. At Buffalo State, we hope to increase awareness of resources related to sexual violence support on campus, and increase their participation in events and programs related to sexual violence prevention and awareness on campus by implementing the It’s On Us Buffalo State campaign.
At Buffalo State, we want to inspire all Bengals to see it as their responsibility to do something whether big or small, to prevent sexual violence and be an UPstander. We want all students to feel empowered to create an environment whether it’s in our classrooms, residence halls or on our fields where sexual violence is not acceptable, and survivors are supported.
